About the Course: Indian Agriculture sector contributes around 17 % in the GDP and ensures over 60 %
of livelihood associated with the sector . Now a days the sector of Agriculture is undergoing rapid change
due to incorporation of modern technologies , methods of farming and culture , growing market demand for
organics and incorporating new technologies with an aim to increase productivity with quality products in
limited land / water / space in urban and rural areas to feed the ever-growing population .
The 01 year’s , ‘‘Diploma in Agriculture ” Course is a uniquely-designed programme which provides
participants in-depth knowledge of managerial and technical skills, effective budgeting and cost control,
know the analytical and technical procedure and legal compliance associated with knowledge of Modern
Agriculture technocratic & Scientific knowledge and applications , and associated need based global and
local level policy framework .
Moreover , Now a days there is one of the mandatory / desirable requirements and or criteria from
Central and State Government of having a minimum 01 year Diploma in Agriculture to allow anyone
to be applicant and for continuing or obtaining for Agri input Retailer License , Fertilizer License or
Pesticide License Insecticide License for retail selling / dealership .
This course provides participants with an interdisciplinary understanding of current practices and current
issues in Agriculture along with the science that makes it work.
Participants who earn the Diploma may take these skills into all industries and agencies involved in the
Agriculture and also start their own entrepreneurship activities or upgrade their existing set up . This
program is also ideal for freshers looking for a gainful employment , professionals engaged in a variety of
